- Wood- though its not really significant early on, it helps that you know where to get wood without expending a single energy. Wood can be harvested either by clearing trees or building a wood mill. However the problem is that both of them requires energy to harvest. The secret is to harvest wood at your neighbors base. Not only you are earning and building your reputation but you are also saving energy while at it. This is because all your actions in your neighbor’s place do not expend energy. The wood that you harvest will be sufficient for starters.
As you can see, the key here is to maximize interaction with your neighbors, the best times to visit your neighbors is actually when you ran out of energy. This will not only give you energy bonuses but as well as allow your energy to recharge back. Never ever resort to spending your valuable empire points in buying energy powerups. Always aim for free stuff
